Tethlink

Privacy policy

Tethlink · Effective September 27, 2026

Tethlink is a Codevty app for connecting to and managing Android devices. This policy covers the app and tethlink.codevty.com. Our privacy contact is [email protected].

Your device content

Tethlink does not require an app account or operate a server that stores your device files. Pairing credentials, saved device addresses, preferences, snippets, transfer history, and captured media are stored on your phone. Pairing keys are held in app-private storage and excluded from Android backup. Ordinary saved preferences and snippets may be subject to your operating system's backup settings.

When you choose a tool, data travels directly between your phone and the authorized target over your network. This can include files, installed app metadata and APKs, typed text, screen images, recordings, audio, and device diagnostics. We do not send this content to advertising or subscription providers. Local discovery checks nearby network ADB services. Use a trusted network: modern Wireless debugging uses encrypted pairing and transport, while older network ADB connections may not encrypt their traffic.

Sharing a capture or opening a media URL sends it to the destination or app you select. Those services handle it under their own policies. The app does not access your microphone for remote device audio.

Ads and privacy choices

The ad-supported app uses Google AdMob and, where enabled, Meta Audience Network through mediation. Their SDKs can process IP addresses (including approximate location), advertising and app identifiers, device and app information, ad interactions, and diagnostic information to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and provide analytics. These providers may act as independent controllers for some processing.

Where required, a consent message appears before advertising requests. Use the app's ad privacy options to review or change available choices, including applicable US state sale/sharing and targeted advertising choices. Declining personalized advertising does not remove the device tools. Depending on your choices and location, ads may be limited, non-personalized, or unavailable. Non-personalized ads can still process data.

You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. An active Ad-free subscription prevents in-app ad display; subscription validation still requires processing described below. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal.

Read Google's advertising privacy information and Meta's privacy policy for their practices and controls.

Subscriptions

Google Play processes purchases. RevenueCat validates purchases and maintains the Ad-free entitlement using a generated app user identifier, purchase and subscription history, product and transaction identifiers, and relevant device/app, locale, and store information. We do not receive your full payment card information. No name or email is requested for an in-app account. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.

Permissions

Network access enables device connections and online services. Package visibility supports showing and copying apps; installed-app information is not used by Tethlink for ad targeting. Android file pickers let you choose files without granting unrestricted storage access. Foreground services, wake locks, and notifications support visible ongoing transfers, installations, listening, and recording. Camera access, if requested for a supported scanning flow, requires your permission. You can control optional permissions in Android settings.

Retention and deletion

You can forget devices, delete snippets and app-owned captures, and clear transfer history. Temporary screenshots are pruned after 24 hours when a new image is written. Exported files remain in shared storage until you delete them. Uninstalling or clearing app data removes local app data but does not cancel a Google Play subscription or delete separately exported files.

Subscription records are retained as needed to provide entitlements, address refunds or disputes, prevent fraud, and satisfy legal requirements. Advertising providers apply their own retention policies. To request deletion of records we can control, email our privacy contact and include your app subscription support identifier if available. Do not send passwords, pairing codes, or payment card details. We may need to verify the request and explain records that must be retained. See Delete your data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and appeal a privacy request decision. You may have rights to opt out of sale/sharing or targeted advertising without unlawful discrimination. Contact us to exercise these rights or appeal a response. You may complain to your local data protection authority.

Where applicable, processing relies on your consent for advertising storage or personalization, fulfilling the services you request, legal obligations, and legitimate interests such as security and fraud prevention. Our providers may process information in other countries using their applicable transfer safeguards. Contact us for questions about international processing.

Children

Tethlink is a general utility intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request children's personal information. If a child has provided information, contact us so we can address it. Store audience settings and applicable age rules govern availability.

This website and support

This website has no advertising pixels, analytics scripts, account forms, or marketing cookies. Cloudflare hosts it and may process IP addresses, request metadata, and security signals to deliver and protect it. If you email support, your email provider and ours process the message; we use it to respond to you and retain it as needed to resolve the request. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Changes

We update this policy when practices change and revise the effective date. Material changes will be communicated in the app or through an appropriate notice.
